Ernie Harwell, the long time baseball announcer for the Detroit Tigers, passed away Tuesday night at his Michigan home after a year long bout with cancer. He was 92 years old, and was one of the finest gentlemen the game has ever been associated with. Like his trademark home run call...Ernie Harwell is now "long gone"....but will never be forgotten.
I've been told by my ex-Stars teammate and former Penn State All American QB Chuck Fusina that Pittsburgh is the most "livable" city in America. He may be right...but only if you remove the bars that Ben Roethlisberger hangs out in.
Just played golf at Llanerch Country Club in Haverford, PA. It is one of the jewels in the area...spectacular!
The feds have discovered a Taliban link to the recent attempt to set off the bomb in Times Square....no kidding!
The Cubs have lost 2 in a row to the Pirates.....ARGHHHH.
